    Songs for...everyone, 2010-03-06
Another great 2CD Classic FM compilation of classical hits from a wide range of singers, including the established favourites such as Blake, Katherine Jenkins, Hayley Westenra, Aled Jones, Lesley Garrett, All Angels, Bryn Terfel, Elin Manahan-Thomas and Alfie Boe.
Also included are some of the more recently discovered talents such as Camilla Kerslake and Faryl Smith, along with the legendary names like Pavarotti and Domingo, and to complete the all star line up there are a few truly world class opera singers, Cecilia Bartoli, Renee Fleming and Rolando Villazon.
The song choices are nicely varied and will be recognised by most people, not just listeners of Classic FM radio, and while I'm not quite sure how the link is made between this selection and mothers, I guess the album release date is a giveaway - two weeks before Mothering Sunday 2010!
A great compilation of music by quality artists.

Superb album, easy to download and cheaper than anywhere else!!!!, 2010-02-25 Watched the film and decided the music was so upbeat that we would buy it and use it for those warm spring evenings and barbecues so imminent. The Amazon download app is dead easy to use and the quality of the album is superb. great value for money.

Very good track listing, 2010-03-15 Two weeks ahead of release, the compilers have come up with a very strong and topical track listing including 22 of the 14 March 2010 top 40 singles and 7 of the top 10. They have anticipated 2 of the 3 top 10 new entries from Gabriella Cilmi (On a mission) and McLean (My name). With past number ones including Iyaz, Owl City and Joe McElderry and versions of 'Don't Stop Believin' by both Glee Cast and Journey, Now 75 is a terrific buy for anyone interested in Britsh chart music in the first quarter of 2010.

A great time for British music, 2010-01-25 Looking down the tracklisting just makes you realise what a stunning year it's been for British pop artists - from Lily and Cheryl to Robbie, Paolo, N-Dubz & JLS they have covered the whole range of styles and influences and really make one proud. The international artists featured on here certainly don't disappoint either with Lady Ga Ga and Buble to name just two.
The 3rd disc is a great addition and really sets the album apart from other 'best of 2009/2010 Top 40' style albums around at the moment. It has some classic tracks from literally the biggest British bands of all time like U2, Take That & Oasis plus the Bee Gees and Seal & Adamski medleys are a very nice touch.
Highly recommended!

Blast from the past, 2010-03-07 I bought this for my other half, who is a fan of the 80's and she absolutely loves it. She said it contained all the songs she remembered and a few she had forgotten, it is now a permanent fixture in the CD player in the car.

Okay compilation, but...., 2010-03-10 As the previous reviewer said, though this box set's billed as being the biggest and best hits from 2000-2009, it's rather heavily weighted towards the more recent hits.
Disk 1 I think is almost entirely 2009, not that I'm complaining, as it was for a number of tracks on Disk 1 that I actually bought the album. Highlights include Lady Gaga's 'Poker Face', Katy Perry and 'I kissed a girl', Coldplay's 'Viva la Vida', and Razorlight's 'America'. Oh, and of course we mustn't forget Take That's 'Shine' (arrgh! I can't believe I'm actually admitting in public that I like a Take That track!)
Disk 2 I'd say is a little more broad in spectrum, but again, very heavily weighted towards the second half of the decade. Maybe it's just my taste in music, but to be honest, Disk 2 lacks anything very interesting really with the exception of Tony Christie still trying to find his way to Amarillo, and James Blunt's 'You're Beautiful' (yeah, I do actually like James Blunt, so shoot me!)
Disk 3 on the other hand tends towards the earlier part of the decade, and has what I'd consider a nice mix of classix tracks from the 00's. Highlights include Robbie Williams and 'Rock DJ', Kylie's 'Can't get you out of my head', Britney Spears 'Ooops!...I did it again', Mel C and 'I turn to you', and of course the annoyingly-catchy-can't-get-it-out-of-your-head Spiller feat. Sophie Ellis-Bextor (is it just me that's old enough to remember when her mum used to present Blue Peter?) and 'Groovejet(If this ain't love)' which fair takes me back it does....ah!
Slight technical problem with Disks 2 and 3, and Windows Media Player picks up totally the wrong track listings for the two disks - no idea what it thought it was playing, but it weren't the right one! That little problem I managed to solve by ripping the CDs to the music library using the organiser software that came with my MP3 player, which uses the Gracenote database for media information rather than the Microsoft database. Whether it's just my computer or the disks I got I don't know, but it's not an insurmountable problem. If you can't use an alternate database to the WMP one, of course you can always edit the track listing details manually if necessary, though that's a bit of a pain.
