Kasabian arrived with a bang and a half early this century, brandishing a slew of ever more dynamite singles and a rigorously assembled debut album that straddled dancefloors and festival fields with monumental ease and a glint in its bloodshot eyes. To put it honestly Kasabian are a good band as they are, but compared to the tripe that has existed in the last decade, they are in a different league. They have vision and ambition to try different things which is quite refreshing in the modern day and age where pointless indie bands, who take no shame in trying to sound exactly like eachother, rule the roost. To be blunt, Kasabian have sealed their status as the best band of the last decade, which is probably one of, if not the worst, music has ever seen, with this album being the best of the last ten years.

kasabian are the sound uk music scene lovers have been longing for.This band are destined for greatness. Awaiting to see them live at the manchester apollo IN APRIL 2005, which i anticipate to be the sound i have been waiting for since oasis hit the scene. Im collecting anything related to kasabian as i believe this band will be collectable beyond doubt. All i can say is listen to them and be blown away by their origional sound that true music buffs will appreciate. You wont be disapointed.!!!!

The guys from Kasabian have dug right into the heart of what it is to be kasabian. The sound is theirs, you know its theirs, the melodic stomping at the heart of every song, almost a heartbeat itself. Quality album, sheer British Class!!

While it's true that the self-titled debut from Kasabian doesn't sound particularly original, that's hardly the point. They can be forgiven because they do it so well. Their influences are obvious throughout Kasabian: "Processed Beats" is the Stone Roses song that never was, while "Reason is Treason" could have driven straight off of Primal Scream's Vanishing Point. Self-professed fans of the afore-mentioned bands, as well as DJ Shadow and Neu!, Kasabian are clearly not afraid of a little electronic knob-twiddling. Cracking album, and the band do it well live on stage, saw them at Millenium Stadium in support of Oasis, certainly will in my opinion be here for the long term, look forward to there new stuff.

Easily their best, 2009-08-26
I can see why people wouldn't like this album (it's not the most radio friendly and has maybe only three obvious singles), but it's easily their best. From Empire to Doberman, every track is a classic example of why Kasabian should be up at the top of the alternative rock heirarchy - like Blur and Muse, they don't strive for the mainstream and rehash their previous successes, but evolve their music and with it create some thumping anthems alongside their more progressive sounds.

TOTALLY ON FIRE, 2010-03-22
2009's best excuse to get up and dance.
FIRE by KASABIAN is one of those songs which - once it gets a hold - never lets go. A deceptively low-key verse leads to a sensational chorus of sustained and shifting harmonies, beautifully held together by a steady, almost hypnotic, beat. You just don't want it to end; it's like someone spiking your ears but without the liquid recriminations.
Two parts psychedelia to one part folk rock, this is Kasabian's finest moment to date. A classic.
